Data Quality Engineer (MRF00616)
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks / responsibilities to address requirements in Key Result Areas.
- Work with business subject matter experts and data developers to create data testing strategies
- Develop automated tests for data assets
- Design, monitor and maintain data quality reports, KPIs & trends for the internal data systems
- Create data quality test plans and test cases
- Execute and automate data quality test cases, and perform bug tracking
- Help create and implement data quality processes and requirements
- Analyze large and complex data for quality issues relating to uniqueness, completeness, validity, consistency, timeliness, integrity, and accuracy
- Collaborate with data engineers, application developers, business owners, business subject matter experts, and data operations team to ensure the accuracy of production data pipielne designs and implementations
- Support the development and implementation of data quality management policies and best practices for improving the overall health of enterprise data
- Share Data Quality knowledge and best practices with team members and others throughout the organization
- Maintain and apply a working knowledge of industry best practices, testing tools, and techniques

- Required Skills and Educational Experience
- Minimum overall experience is 3 years
- Bachelors in Computer Science or Information Systems or 2+ years’ experience with corporate data management systems in high-compliance contexts
- Data management related certifications (e.g., CDMP certification) is a plus
- Ability to read/write SQL queries
- Experience working in a Big Data environment, dealing with large diverse data sets
- Hands-on experience in Python
- Demonstrates knowledge of structured testing methodology, with a proven ability to break down business requirements/functional/non-functional requirements into high and detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Strong communication / organizational skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
