Data Quality Manager - Geospatial/LiDAR

Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with data quality tools and frameworks such as Collibra or DAMA-DMBOK
  • Solid understanding of GIS platforms including ArcGIS and QGIS
  • Experience handling geospatial data formats such as Shapefiles and GeoJSON
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working within Government, Infrastructure, Utilities, or similar regulated sectors is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing workloads and manage deadlines effectively
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Immediate Right to Work in the UK
Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of geospatial data quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all data assets
  • Define clear data quality standards as part of a wider governance framework
  • Work closely with data owners to embed best practices into everyday processes
  • Monitor data quality and performance against agreed standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and consistency
  • Implement tools and processes to enhance data quality across the data lifecycle
  • Carry out data cleansing, validation, and quality checks
  • Analyse data issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Feed insights and improvement priorities into agile development and release plans
  • Support the continuous improvement of data management processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high standards of data quality
