Summary
Singapore-based Digital Health Data Science Engineer building scalable data pipelines for wearable/biosensor and clinical trial data, and developing ML/deep-learning models (incl. Salary: $11,000 – $16,500 per month

As a Digital Health Data Science Engineer, you will play a key role in developing digital biomarkers, AI-powered clinical analytics and innovative data platforms. Based in Singapore, you will work closely with global teams while serving as a key technical representative for Digital Health initiatives involving the Lilly Centre for Clinical Pharmacology (LCCP), Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and regional partners.

What You Will Do
Digital Health & Technical Leadership
Act as the Singapore-based technical representative for Digital Health data engineering and data science activities.
Collaborate with LCCP, EDB, local partners and global Digital Health teams.
Coordinate regional data science and platform initiatives aligned with global innovation strategies.
Data Engineering & Analytics
Design and develop scalable data pipelines for wearable sensors, time-series data, and clinical research datasets.
Build data ingestion, transformation, and delivery solutions across the data lifecycle.
Establish data quality, monitoring, and validation processes to ensure reliable, trial-ready datasets.
Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability and reliability.
AI & Algorithm Development
Develop machine learning and deep learning algorithms to generate meaningful digital health measures such as activity and sleep.
Work with data from wearable and biosensor technologies, including accelerometry, EEG and PPG.
Validate models using internal and partner datasets to support clinical applications.
Contribute to the integration of AI capabilities, including Large Language Models (LLMs), into cloud-based digital health platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with teams across Sensor Lab, Clinical Operations, Biomedical Engineering, and Product.
Translate complex technical and scientific requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
Contribute to digital health platform roadmaps and clinical trial design.
Communicate technical insights effectively to both technical and clinical/business stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Informatics or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in data engineering, data science, analytics and/or algorithm development.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, R, SQL and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with large-scale data processing, machine learning and/or AI development.
Strong project management and collaboration skills, with experience working across geographically distributed teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into meaningful business and clinical outcomes.
