A staff-level data science engineer who leads development and deployment of wafer map analytics and predictive/prescriptive models supporting R&D of optoelectronic (semiconductor) devices at OSRAM's Bayan Lepas site, working with a German data science team using Python/Matlab and statistical methods.
Lead and own algorithm development and deployment of sophisticated wafer map analytics software for local solutions in close collaboration with German data science team.
Identification & implementation of data science use cases, to support the R&D of optoelectronic devices.
Data preparation with support of data engineering team in IT.
Apply statistical methods or tools, to gain insights and to prepare data for use in predictive & prescriptive modeling.
Build models, to forecast/ predict and thus solve business problems.
Collaboration with R&D, to support a smooth ramp-up of new optoelectronic technologies via data analytics.
Requirement
Ph.D/Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent with minimum 3 years of relevant industrial experience.
Highly proficient in statistical & analytic skills.
In-depth experience in programming languages (Python, Matlab, etc)
Detailed & strong analytical thinking with excellent communication skills.
Understanding in semiconductor technologies will be an added advantage.
