Data Scientist, Asia

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist with 4–5 years of experience to join our Data AI team in Asia. This role is primarily focused on data science initiatives, including model development using Python and building Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will also contribute to data engineering and data management projects, and occasionally support operating companies (Opcos) in tool assessments and data practice reviews. Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Python. Build and optimise traditional and Gen AI solutions for business applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements. Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering. Evaluate different data sources and determine how best to utilise them in project work. Document model development processes and ensure reproducibility. Refresh and retrain existing models with minimal supervision. Take responsibility for own development, proactively identifying opportunities to further their own knowledge, including new techniques, emerging market trends and professional skills. Support data pipeline development and integration efforts. Participate in data governance and data quality improvement initiatives. Assist in the evaluation of data tools and platforms for Opcos. Review and provide feedback on data practices and standards across teams.
