DATA SCIENTIST

Serves as a Data Scientist, providing professional and scientific expertise in performance of work requiring knowledge and application of mathematics, statistical analysis, programming, and/or other scientific principles, methods, and techniques.

Perform data engineering functionality by creating custom code (SQL/Python/Java/Jython etc.) for data transformations.

Supports DFAS data ingestion operations by ingesting cyclical datasets, verifies successful ingestion, and updates existing data pipelines as required. Performs data quality reviews, develops/optimizes performance of pipelines and ingestion processes

Develops dashboards (Qlik or Power BI), including data visualizations and data load scripts using existing Advana data sources.

Collaborates with other team members to communicate obstacles and findings to relevant stakeholders in an effort to improve decision-making and drive business performance.
