DATA SCIENTIST

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - DBC/SERVICES DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE.

Leads the development and documentation of operational concepts and strategies for assigned programs/projects.

Develops and automates large scale, high-performance data processing systems and tools to improve data quality and volume, accelerate iteration cycles, and improve the ability to deliver superior enabled analytics capabilities.

Assesses data sources to determine the type of data available and how data imports can be made into other systems to reduce or eliminate manual reporting requirements.

Constructs data pipelines using complex tools and techniques to handle data at scale.

Conducts a thorough and rigorous security impact analysis for assigned programs/projects data analytics.
