Data Scientist, Fraud Detection - Hybrid, Growth & Impact

Prima in Italy is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Anti Fraud Team. You will design and improve fraud detection systems, collaborating with analysts, engineers and product managers to tackle fraud with global impact across markets.

You will develop deep knowledge of fraud dynamics, identify emerging patterns, and translate insights into practical detection and prevention strategies. The role offers hybrid work and a strong compensation package.

Design and improve fraud detection systems prioritising high-risk claims and balancing accuracy with efficiency. Collaborate across fraud analysts, engineers and product managers. Develop deep expertise in fraud dynamics, identifying patterns and translating insights into effective detection strategies. Extensive experience (3+ years) in data science or applied machine learning. Strong analytical and quantitative mindset with evidence-based decision making. Structured problem solver skilled at framing ambiguous challenges and defining success metrics. Strong Python programming skills and fluent use of Git. Knowledge of Spark and SQL or other data-oriented languages and libraries such as Pandas, Sklearn, Keras, XGBoost, LightGBM.
