This role is located in the Seattle hub. You must be able to work from this hub to qualify.

This position is not eligible for F1 and J1 students. It is not available for any work sponsorship.

Our paid internship program runs for 12 weeks between May/June - August/September 2027

Your Future Team

Does the challenge of scaling a fast-growing company by powering it with data, reporting, and analytics excite you? Using your business instincts and creativity, you will support a market-leading product with nuanced analysis, relevant insights, and recommendations.

What you'll do

• Develop data-driven hypothesis to identify new opportunities and apply rigorous statistical methodology to evaluate product experiments, feature rollouts and user behavior

• Partner cross-functionally with data science, data engineering and business teams to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations

• Analyze rich user interaction and telemetry datasets to uncover user journey patterns, identify friction points and surface growth opportunities

• Build robust data artifacts such as interactive dashboards, reproducible notebooks, or AI agents/skills that scale data backed decision-making across teams

Responsibilities

Your Background

• Proficiency with SQL or other query languages and experience with Python or R for statistical computing, data analysis and predictive modeling

• Solid understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, experimental design (A/B testing), or machine learning fundamentals

• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g: Tableau, Databricks, Mode or other BI platforms)

• Familiarity with modern AI tools and GenAI workflows (e.g., LLM APIs, AI coding assistants, prompt engineering, or building AI agents/skills)

• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey quantitative insights to both technical and non-technical teammates

• Availability & Program Commitment: Able to commit to a 12-week full-time (40hrs/week) program during Summer 2027

• Enrollment & Eligibility: Currently enrolled full-time in a Masters degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by August 2028

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.

Pay Ranges

In The United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $47/hr - $53/hr

Zone B: $43/hr - $48/hr

Zone C: $39/hr - $44/hr

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
