Our client and valued partner, Samsung Electronics Australia, is seeking an innovative Data Scientist to join the Samsung Ads Analytics team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting AUNZ and Southeast Asia.

This is a unique opportunity to work with Samsung’s proprietary data and cutting-edge AI-powered analytics to uncover insights, develop predictive models and identify opportunities that shape advertising strategy, consumer insights and monetisation.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, anomalies and new commercial opportunities.

  • Develop and validate statistical, predictive and machine learning models using Python and SQL.

  • Apply hypothesis testing, A/B testing and advanced analytics to solve complex business challenges.

  • Leverage Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Cortex AI and Claude Code to develop innovative analytical solutions.

  • Translate complex technical findings into compelling insights and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Build automated analytical processes and support secure, reliable and high-quality data pipelines.

  • Collaborate with global Samsung Ads teams to share insights, best practices and drive data-led decision making.

What You'll Bring:

  • Previous experience in Data Science, Analytics or a related quantitative discipline.

  • Strong SQL and Python capability, with hands-on experience in statistical analysis and modelling.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Physics or a related quantitative discipline.

  • Strong statistical foundation with experience across predictive modelling, regression, classification, clustering or time-series analysis.

  • Experience with BI and visualisation tools, ideally Tableau, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and dbt.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear commercial insights.

  • A curious, proactive and adaptable mindset with the confidence to explore new technologies and AI-powered analytics.
