Our client and valued partner, Samsung Electronics Australia, is seeking an innovative Data Scientist to join the Samsung Ads Analytics team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting AUNZ and Southeast Asia.
This is a unique opportunity to work with Samsung’s proprietary data and cutting-edge AI-powered analytics to uncover insights, develop predictive models and identify opportunities that shape advertising strategy, consumer insights and monetisation.
What You'll Be Doing:
Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, anomalies and new commercial opportunities.
Develop and validate statistical, predictive and machine learning models using Python and SQL.
Apply hypothesis testing, A/B testing and advanced analytics to solve complex business challenges.
Leverage Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Cortex AI and Claude Code to develop innovative analytical solutions.
Translate complex technical findings into compelling insights and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Build automated analytical processes and support secure, reliable and high-quality data pipelines.
Collaborate with global Samsung Ads teams to share insights, best practices and drive data-led decision making.
What You'll Bring:
Previous experience in Data Science, Analytics or a related quantitative discipline.
Strong SQL and Python capability, with hands-on experience in statistical analysis and modelling.
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Physics or a related quantitative discipline.
Strong statistical foundation with experience across predictive modelling, regression, classification, clustering or time-series analysis.
Experience with BI and visualisation tools, ideally Tableau, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and dbt.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear commercial insights.
A curious, proactive and adaptable mindset with the confidence to explore new technologies and AI-powered analytics.
