In this role, you will use problem solving skills and good software engineering practices to design,
develop, and deploy software solutions and data pipelines to create new data products to be used by
researchers and quantitative traders.
The team is focused on building and maintaining ETL projects, data pipelines, as well as backend services to
serve different datasets.
In this role, you will have exposure to financial market data and learn how it is used in automated trading
on global stock exchanges.
Responsibilities
- Building and optimizing ETL environment in support of quantitative research and trading
- Implementing quality and validation checks for data integrity
- Collaborating with the research team and/or other users to come up with valuable datasets
- Application deployment, development, data extraction, and support
Required for the Role
- Prior experience in designing, building, and deploying software solutions
- Proficiency in developing data related software in Python
- Keen eye on data quality to help ensure correct dataset delivery
- Knowledge on Linux, AWS, Databases (document DB and RDBMS), and Docker
- Willingness to learn new technologies and business domain
Desirable
- Strong knowledge in object-oriented concepts, data structures, and algorithms
- Hands-on experience building data pipelines and/or ETL solutions
- Existing experience working in a high performing team-based environment
