We're hiring on behalf of a well-established, technology-driven quantitative trading firm operating across global markets. This is a genuine opportunity to work at the intersection of research, trading, and engineering directly shaping the data that powers systematic and discretionary strategies at a firm known for its rigorous, science-first approach to investing.
This is a hands-on role, not a generic data science or ML posting. Candidates must bring genuine research experience and demonstrable exposure to at least one of the following areas: Market data (Refinitiv/Bloomberg) and pricing
Tick data feature construction/selection, with knowledge of L3 data
What you'll do
Partner with researchers and traders to design datasets that directly inform systematic strategies and discretionary trading decisions
Prototype and build pipelines to extract, clean, and structure data from a wide range of raw sources and formats
Own the end-to-end onboarding of new datasets, from sourcing through to production
Work closely with engineering to automate and scale data extraction processes
Proactively identify and resolve data issues, and explore novel extraction methods to keep the firm's toolkit ahead of the curve
What you'll need
3+ years' experience as a Data Scientist or similar, with genuine hands-on research exposure (buy-side quant experience a strong plus)
Postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline - Maths, Physics, Engineering, or similar Strong Python skills, including proficiency with Pandas and NumPy
Genuine interest in financial markets and how data drives investment decisions
Experience with both traditional and alternative datasets
Strong communication skills - you'll work across research, trading, engineering, and external vendors
Comfort operating at pace in a high-performance environment
