Summary
Build and deploy optimisation, forecasting, and scheduling models using Python, SQL, Databricks, and MLflow to improve operational decisions for a client’s AI transformation.
Location: Dublin
Day Rate: Up to €475 per day
The Role
A technology consultancy is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to support a large-scale data and AI transformation programme.
You will design and deploy optimisation and forecasting models that improve resource allocation, scheduling and operational decision-making. The role requires strong technical delivery alongside the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Build optimisation, scheduling and resource allocation models.
- Develop time-series forecasting and demand modelling solutions.
- Deploy and manage models using Databricks and MLflow.
- Build and maintain supporting data pipelines.
- Present clear, explainable recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Strong experience with optimisation, scheduling or resource allocation models.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and MLflow.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Experience with forecasting and machine learning model deployment.
- Strong stakeholder communication and client-facing skills.
- Experience with Pyomo, PuLP, OR-Tools, Delta Lake or Medallion Architecture would be beneficial.
Candidates must be able to work onsite in Dublin three days per week and have the right to work in Ireland.
