Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and core machine learning algorithms
  • Ability to deliver end-to-end data science workstreams
  • Clear communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Undergraduate degree in a numerical subject
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Extensive experience accessing and analysing data using SQL and Python
  • Experience in contributing and managing a shared code repository (e.g. Github, Bitbucket)
  • Expertise in using commonly used regression and classification algorithms
  • Experience (2-5 years) working as an associate/graduate data scientist or data scientist
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to Advanced AI and Machine Learning Development by supporting delivery of the machine learning lifecycle, including data ingestion, exploration, feature engineering, modelling, evaluation, and deployment monitoring
  • Help Drive Innovation and Shape AI Opportunities by identifying where analytics or machine learning can improve business performance or member value
  • Deliver High-Impact Project Work by owning well-defined workstreams within larger projects, delivering high-quality outputs that support commercial or customer outcomes
  • Engage Stakeholders and Support AI Adoption by collaborating with teams across actuarial, operations, product, engineering, commercial, and clinical areas to understand needs and shape solutions
  • Contribute to Developing the Data Science Community through participation in knowledge sharing sessions, workshops, and learning initiatives
  • Support Responsible AI, Governance, and Risk Management by applying responsible AI principles and following model governance frameworks
  • Collaborate to Scale AI Platforms and Infrastructure by working with engineering and ML teams to deploy models and monitor them in production
  • Maintain, Improve, and Operate Models in Production by monitoring model performance using defined KPIs and raising issues when thresholds are breached
