We would like to meet a Data Products Architect for a project with an international context.
This role will be part of a Data Products Architecture team, designing and implementing a Data Mesh approach within a cloud transformation program.
You will provide architectural guidance to globally distributed analytics and operational teams, enabling efficient data sharing and usage across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a reference point for architecture definition and data product development in a Data Mesh setting serving operational applications.
- Serve as a contact for Data Product teams.
- Provide onboarding guidance.
- Provide best-practice guidelines for modern data processing.
- Support Data Product teams throughout their lifecycle, including:
- Ideation.
- Specification.
- Architectural design.
- Prototyping.
- Production integration.
- Design scalable, efficient, and future-proof data architectures.
- Ensure cloud-based infrastructure is leveraged optimally across data products and systems.
- Provide strategic guidance on data processing, cloud development, and data warehousing.
- Integrate solutions into the Data Mesh ecosystem.
- Align solutions with infrastructure best practices and organizational needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Data Architect in an AWS cloud environment.
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable end-to-end data flows.
- Hands-on experience designing solutions for data pipelines and orchestration in a Big Data/Data Mesh context.
- Strong DevOps culture.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience with Data Mesh.
- Experience with Event-Driven Architecture.
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design.
- Experience designing end-to-end data flows, including ingestion, transformation, storage, access, and governance.
- Ability to select the right tools and recommended configuration for the job.
- Experience with:
- Batching.
- Micro-batching.
- Real-time streaming.
- Experience with metadata management.
- Experience with cataloguing.
- Understanding of data governance implications.
- Experience designing asynchronous and synchronous APIs/interfaces.
- Strong understanding of code modularity, testing, and deployment considerations.
- Ability to balance consumer requirements, source data constraints, and business priorities.
