Overview
Chinasoft International is seeking a highly skilled Data Solution Presales Architect to drive data platform modernization, Data Lakehouse integration, and data governance initiatives across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. You will deeply analyze the business requirements and technical pain points of financial sector clients, independently leading technical engagements, architecture planning, product selection, and POC validations to ensure successful solution delivery.
Responsibilities
Solution Design & Presales Support: Architect comprehensive enterprise-grade solutions encompassing Data Lakehouses, Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW), and data governance, specifically tailored for banking and financial clients.
Bidding & POC Validation: Lead the drafting of technical proposals, architecture diagrams, and RFI/RFP responses. Drive Proof of Concept (POC) designs, technical validations, and client technical Q&A sessions.
Architecture & Platform Planning: Evaluate compute resources, storage capacity, and high availability requirements. Formulate robust strategies for legacy data platform migrations and cloud/hybrid-cloud architectures.
Cross-Functional Delivery Alignment: Collaborate with sales, R&D, and partners to uncover business opportunities and estimate project costs/workloads. Ensure the seamless and feasible handover of presales technical designs to the implementation and delivery teams.
Requirements
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of experience in data platforms, big data, or data warehousing, including at least 2 years in presales architecture or large-scale data platform design.
Core Technical Stack: Strong familiarity with MPP database architectures (e.g., DWS, GaussDB, Greenplum, ClickHouse) and SQL tuning. Deep proficiency in Big Data and Lakehouse technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Kafka, Iceberg, Delta Lake) and stream/batch data processing.
Data Integration & Governance: Extensive hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development, data migration architectures, and data governance frameworks (covering metadata management, data quality, MDM, and data lineage).
Soft Skills & Languages: Exceptional communication and cross-team collaboration skills, capable of translating complex technical architectures into actionable business value. Fluent Mandarin is required, alongside strong English proficiency for technical presentations and documentation.
Mobility: Must be willing and able to accept a minimum 1-year on-site relocation to Malaysia.
Highly Preferred: Prior experience with data platform projects for large Chinese banks or Southeast Asian financial institutions, migrating legacy DWs to Lakehouse architectures, or familiarity with the Huawei data ecosystem (DWS/MRS/GaussDB).
