The role combines SQL-based analysis, data investigation, reporting, validation, and day-to-day data operations.
You’ll work with modern analytics tools such as Databricks and Count, alongside spreadsheets and internal data resources.
A major part of the role will involve translating sometimes ambiguous requests into well-defined requirements and useful analytical outputs.
You’ll also help identify recurring needs and turn them into reusable queries, reports, documentation, and self-service solutions.
This role is ideal for a responsive, service-minded analyst who combines strong technical skills with excellent attention to detail and stakeholder communication.
Accountabilities:
- Fulfill data requests: Respond to ad-hoc data and reporting requests from Sales and other internal teams using SQL, Databricks, Count, spreadsheets, and relevant internal tools.
- Translate business needs: Partner with stakeholders to clarify questions, understand requirements, determine appropriate data sources, and deliver accurate and easy-to-understand answers.
- Investigate data issues: Analyze discrepancies, missing records, unexpected results, and other basic data problems to identify their causes and determine appropriate resolutions.
- Resolve and escalate issues: Independently address straightforward data issues while escalating more complex problems with clear documentation, relevant evidence, and sufficient context for further investigation.
- Support data operations: Contribute to routine data maintenance, validation, quality checks, reporting activities, and other operational requirements that help maintain reliable data.
- Improve self-service capabilities: Recognize recurring requests and develop reusable queries, reports, documentation, or other resources that reduce repetitive manual support.
- Support internal stakeholders: Maintain a responsive, service-oriented approach when working with Sales and other teams, ensuring requests are handled accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate findings: Explain analytical results, data limitations, and identified issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain data quality: Apply strong attention to detail when validating outputs and investigating anomalies to ensure stakeholders receive dependable information.
- Professional experience: 3–6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, analytics support, data operations, or a closely related role.
- SQL expertise: Strong SQL skills with practical experience querying data, answering business questions, investigating discrepancies, and troubleshooting data issues.
- Analytics tools: Experience working with modern data and analytics platforms; familiarity with Databricks or Count is a valuable advantage.
- Spreadsheet proficiency: Strong spreadsheet skills, including data validation, lookups, pivot tables, and general data analysis.
- Business analysis: Ability to turn loosely defined or ambiguous business requests into clear analytical requirements and appropriate data outputs.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail: Highly organized and meticulous when working with data, reporting requests, and validation activities.
- Service orientation: A responsive, collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in helping internal teams solve data-related problems.
- Problem solving: Ability to investigate issues independently, identify practical solutions, and recognize when a problem requires escalation.
- Sales or go-to-market experience: Experience supporting Sales or other go-to-market teams is a plus.
- Business data knowledge: Familiarity with CRM, sales pipeline, revenue, or other commercial data is advantageous.
- Reporting experience: Experience creating dashboards, reusable reports, or internal data documentation is a bonus.
- Remote collaboration: Ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment.
- Fully remote position for candidates currently residing in India.
- Compensation of $2,500–$3,500 USD per month.
- Flexible PTO, with a minimum expectation of taking at least one day off per quarter and ten days per year.

- Opportunity to work with modern data and analytics technologies and contribute to the evolution of internal data practices.
- High degree of autonomy and ownership within a remote-first working environment.
- Opportunities to contribute to an inclusive and collaborative culture built around initiative, openness, and humility.
- Company offsites twice a year for planning, team building, and networking.
