Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Techno/Functional Manager with 12+ years of experience in data engineering and strong expertise in Azure Databricks and Lakehouse architecture.
The candidate will be responsible for leading data engineering teams, driving technical architecture, designing scalable data pipelines and managing end-to-end data engineering delivery.
The role requires a combination of hands-on technical expertise, team management, stakeholder management and delivery ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage data engineering teams and provide technical direction.
- Design and implement scalable data solutions using Azure Databricks.
- Drive Lakehouse architecture and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver and Gold).
- Manage ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, Python and SQL.
- Implement Delta Lake, data ingestion and transformation frameworks.
- Establish engineering standards, code reviews and CI/CD practices.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security and performance optimization.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, project delivery and Agile processes.
- Optimize Databricks workloads for performance and cost efficiency.
Mandatory Skills
- 12+ years of overall IT experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Azure Databricks.
- Strong experience in Data Engineering.
- Apache Spark / PySpark, Python and SQL.
- Delta Lake and Lakehouse Architecture.
