Data Visualization Specialist

The Visualization Specialist is responsible for supporting the administration, maintenance, and reliability of business intelligence and reporting platforms. The role ensures dashboards and reports are refreshed accurately and on time, manages user access and governance, performs data quality checks, provides first-level user support, and maintains reporting documentation. Working closely with the Data & Insights team, IT, and business stakeholders, the position also supports reporting enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient, reliable, and user-friendly analytics solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor dashboard refresh schedules to ensure timely and accurate report availability.
• Administer user access, security groups, and dashboard permissions in line with governance standards.
• Perform data validation and resolve or escalate data quality and refresh issues.
• Provide first-level support for Power BI and Tableau users, including access requests and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist in developing, enhancing, and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Maintain documentation for dashboards, data sources, user access, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with Data, IT, and business teams to support reporting initiatives and improve user experience.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and enhance reporting efficiency and dashboard reliability.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
2. At least 1–2 years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, reporting, or analytics support is preferred.
3. Proficiency in Power BI with experience in dashboard maintenance, scheduled refreshes, and report administration.
4. Working knowledge of Tableau and other data visualization or business intelligence tools.
5. Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data validation, troubleshooting, and querying relational databases.
6. Understanding of data governance, data quality, reporting administration, and user access management principles.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and data accuracy.
8. Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
9. Ability to manage multiple priorities, troubleshoot reporting issues, and deliver timely support in a fast-paced environment.
10. Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies, reporting tools, and business processes while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
