Summary
Senior ETL developer for enterprise data warehousing: designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents Teradata-based ETL and reporting workflows, working with SQL/BTEQ, Oracle-style databases and Unix within SDLC and release-management processes. Requires 8-10 years of Teradata ETL experience.
Note: Strong proficiency in Teradata SQL and BTEQ is required.
- 8-10 years of experience ETL development using various versions of Teradata
- 6+ years of Enterprise Data Warehouse ETL development.
- 6+ years of experience with proficiency in SQL with Teradata Oracle and/or Databases.
- Expert at documenting ETL logic and workflow processing.
- Experience in working within systems development lifecycle and release management, releases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Develops statements of problems and requirements. Can translate both business to technical and technical to business written and verbal communications.
- Able to work independently in all of the above areas of knowledge.
- Experience working with UNIX.
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents data warehouse ETL or reporting code according to customer standards, policies, procedures, security and compliance requirements.
- Understands and foresees implications of decisions.
- Understands the core business process and purpose of the functional area.
- Individuals understand their own area and are able to perform all facets of their role.
- Individuals should have experience in most issues that may arise, although require guidance with new assignments or assignments outside normal scope of work.
- And should be able to manage projects with oversight from their supervisor.
- Works on a large portfolio of applications, Provides application design and documentation that spans multiple applications and/or functions.
