Database Administrator

The incumbent is responsible for design and implementation of the database projects in several locations. He / She is also responsible for database security protocols, data protection and damage control for cloud computing project including:

Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the overall design and implementation of the database for the system with application and data migration support for Cloud projects;
2. Support for application and data migration of existing applications to the systems;
3. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data against loss or corruption;
4. Implement and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access or breaches;
5. Ensure databases comply with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards;
6. Facilitate database design and administration of IBM DB2, My SQL, MariaDB or Oracle Database;
7. Design and implementation of high-availability database clusters on cloud or virtualization infrastructure projects.

Requirement:

1. Higher Diploma or above in computer science, Information Technology or a related field;
2. A minimum of 5 years in database administration, design, support or related experience;
3. Familiar with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB SQL Server etc.;
4. Knowledge of cloud-based database services like AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database;
5. Familiar with scripting languages like SQL, Python, or PowerShell;
6. Experience in system programming and administration on Linux or Windows Platform;
7. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
