Database Administrator (DBA)
We're looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize mission-critical database systems. In this role, you'll ensure high availability, performance, and security while working closely with development and project teams to support reliable business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain SQL Server, Oracle and other database systems
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance and availability
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, replication, clustering and failover solutions
- Implement database security, user access controls, and ensure compliance with security best practices
- Collaborate with developers on database design, schema optimization, and performance tuning
- Perform database upgrades, patching and maintenance to ensure system stability
- Optimize SQL queries, indexes and database configurations to improve initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
- Experience in database performance tuning, optimization, backup recovery, and high availability solutions (e.g. Clustering, Mirroring, Always On Availability Groups)
- Good understanding of database security, access management and data protection best practices
- Experience with SSIS/ETL and SSRS reporting.
- Knowledge of MongoDB is an advantage
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
