Database Administrator (DBA)

We're looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize mission-critical database systems. In this role, you'll ensure high availability, performance, and security while working closely with development and project teams to support reliable business operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and maintain SQL Server, Oracle and other database systems
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance and availability
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery, replication, clustering and failover solutions
  • Implement database security, user access controls, and ensure compliance with security best practices
  • Collaborate with developers on database design, schema optimization, and performance tuning
  • Perform database upgrades, patching and maintenance to ensure system stability
  • Optimize SQL queries, indexes and database configurations to improve initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
  • Experience in database performance tuning, optimization, backup recovery, and high availability solutions (e.g. Clustering, Mirroring, Always On Availability Groups)
  • Good understanding of database security, access management and data protection best practices
  • Experience with SSIS/ETL and SSRS reporting.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
