Database Administrator

Role & responsibilities

• Complete management, support, fine tuning, security, maintenance and operation of Database of Dial 112.
• Provide a strategic database direction for the organization.
• Regular backup of database as defined by Police.
• Ensuing high availability of Dial 112 Application & Database.
• Troubleshooting of Dial 112 Applications and Database related issues.
• Cooperating with PMC and Police and furnishing data/reports as required by PMC.
• Any global certification in Database administration.

Preferred:

• Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and normalization
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with one or more RDBMS platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools
• Knowledge of backup, restore, recovery models, and disaster recovery planning
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, PowerShell) for automation
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently, including in a 24x7 environment (if required)
