Database Administrator
Summary
Maintains and optimizes MSSQL databases, ensuring performance and reliability while troubleshooting production issues and managing backups and migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize MSSQL databases to ensure high performance and reliability
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production system problems
- Manage database backups, restores, and recovery processes
- Implement high availability and data migration solutions
- Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams to support application and system requirements
- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in MSSQL database management and optimization
- At least 2 years of experience administering MS SQL Server (2008/2012/2014/2016)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure database environments
- 2+ years of experience with SQL queries, high availability, and data migration tools and techniques
- Strong background in Windows environments and troubleshooting production systems
- Detail-oriented, task-driven, and highly organized
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
