Job Description

Retail giant is looking for a Database Administrator in their Central London office, who has a wealth of experience in both Oracle and SQL Server, for a 3 month contract.

The successful candidate will work within a small team of Database Administrators delivering IT operations services - Fault fixing, preventative maintenance and development projects.

They will strive to reduce costs of the operations by ensuring that the service improvements are of the highest standard.

Who we're looking for

-We are looking for a DBA with a high level of knowledge of system administration tasks for optimising database performance (Oracle & SQL).

- Understanding of UNIX/OE/Red Hat Linux operating systems and TCP/IP Networking protocol.

- Expert knowledge of system administration tasks for oracle database 9i, 10g and 11g software including RAC, ASM, Dataguard, security and performance testing.

- Expert in Oracle R12 ebusiness suite.

Knowledge of Oracle Software Product Licensing terms.

SQL Server

- High level of knowledge of storage system administration tasks for optimisation.

- Understanding of Windows operating systems and TCP/IP networking protocol.

- Administration tasks for MS SQL Server software including replication, mirroring, performance tuning and security.

Knowledge of MS SQL Server Product Licensing terms.
