Database Administrator
Summary
The Database Administrator will manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments across on-premise and cloud platforms. The role involves performance tuning, security management, and supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong experience as a SQL Server DBA in a complex enterprise environment
- Expertise in performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, high availability and disaster recovery, and Azure SQL
- Knowledge of SQL scripting, PowerShell, and database administration best practices
- Experience working within ITIL service management environments
- Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Support database security, access management, patching, backup, and recovery processes
- Deliver database improvements, upgrades, and migration projects
- Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Participate in on-call support and major incident management
