Roles & Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade and maintain MySQL and SQL Server database environments.
Manage database objects, including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions and triggers.
Monitor database performance, availability, capacity and health.
Perform SQL query optimization and troubleshoot slow-running queries using execution plans and performance-monitoring tools.
Create and maintain database backup and recovery strategies, including scheduled backups and restoration testing.
Handle database user creation, roles, permissions and access control.
Monitor and troubleshoot database connectivity, locking, blocking, deadlocks and transaction-related issues.
Skills & Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with MySQL Database Administration.
Excellent knowledge of SQL.
Good understanding of database architecture and normalization.
