Database Administrator, Senior
Master Works is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain enterprise database systems.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Implement database security, access controls, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
- Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching.
- Optimize queries, configurations, and database performance.
- Maintain technical documentation and procedures.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in database administration.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Knowledge of database security and performance tuning.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
