Database Administrator (SQL Expert)

ICP is an engineering and technology company specializing in the design, development, and computerization of high-value logistics operations.

We design and manage our own operating processes and software systems, working with advanced solutions in automation, robotics, R&D&i, Lean, and Data Analytics.

We are looking to incorporate a Database Administrator with advanced experience in SQL into our technology team, who wants to be part of a technological, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment.

What you'll do

You will be responsible for guaranteeing the performance, availability, security, and correct functioning of our databases, also participating in technological improvement and evolution projects.

• Administer and maintain databases in production environments.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Analyze and improve the performance of queries and databases.
• Work with indexes, statistics, execution plans, and stored procedures.
• Manage users, permissions, backups, and restorations.
• Monitor performance and resolve incidents.
• Participate in migrations, updates, and database improvements.
• Automate administration tasks through scripting.
• Collaborate with the Development and Systems teams.
• Participate in high availability, replication, and disaster recovery projects.

What we're looking for

• 3 years or more of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Expert level in SQL.
• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server and recent versions.
• Experience in query optimization and execution plan analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of indexes, transactions, locks, concurrency, and performance.
• Experience in backup, restore, and incident recovery.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems autonomously.
• Own vehicle to access our facilities in Meco.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, Azure SQL, and cloud environments will be valued.
