Database Administrator Unit Head

JOB SUMMARY / PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supervise and manage the Database Administration Unit, providing end-to-end governance over the bank's production databases. Responsible for formulating technical database standards, tuning complex database instances, planning storage allocations, and verifying 100% compliance with corporate backup retention and security rules. Act as the 2nd-level technical validation gate and on-call escalation point for database staging, high-availability data replication, and continuous-processing schema updates across all core and electronic channel infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of two (2) years of solid work experience as a Database Administrator in an enterprise environment.

• Must be available for 24/7 on-call escalation and manage a team operating on shifting schedules.
