Database Analyst Senior

Overview:

The leading bank in the European Union and a leading international player is seeking a Database Analyst Senior responsible for designing, administering, maintaining and optimizing database platforms supporting critical business applications. The role focuses on ensuring high levels of database performance, availability, integrity and security while collaborating closely with Development, Operations and Security teams. The consultant will contribute to process optimization, SQL performance tuning, incident resolution, database automation initiatives and continuous improvement of data management solutions.

What will you do?

• Design and implement database solutions within Information Systems environments
• Monitor and support critical business processes and database operations
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and database triggers for data processing and reporting
• Collaborate closely with Development teams to improve business process outcomes and application performance
• Manage complex Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments
• Administer and maintain databases in operational conditions ensuring stability and availability
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions according to business requirements and policies
• Ensure database backups and recovery procedures comply with defined strategies
• Provide technical support to Development and Application Production Support teams
• Investigate and resolve incidents affecting database performance, availability and access to information
• Participate actively in post-mortem analysis for major and recurring database incidents
• Monitor technology trends and identify opportunities for database optimization and innovation
• Assess and deploy solutions focused on simplification, automation and cost optimization of database platforms
  

What are we looking for?

• Strong experience in Database Administration, Optimization and Support
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments
• Experience supporting critical business applications and production environments
• Knowledge of ETL processes, performance tuning and database automation initiatives
• Experience working closely with Development, Operations and Security teams
• Strong focus on database performance, availability, integrity and reliability
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement innovative database solutions

• DevOps and CI/CD Practice
• ITIL Methodology
• Data Reporting and Visualization Tools (Power BI, Dynatrace)
• Fluent in English
