Database Architect
Position Summary:
The Database Architect owns the data architecture for the platform. You will design the data models, storage strategy, and data-flow patterns for a high-volume filing platform on AWS, ensuring performance, integrity, security, and regulatory auditability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the target-state data architecture and data models for the platform
- Design storage, partitioning, and access strategies on AWS data services (Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift)
- Define data governance, lineage, and quality standards
- Architect data pipelines, integration, and dissemination patterns
- Ensure data security, encryption, and regulatory auditability
- Partner with product and cloud architects on cross-domain data concerns
- Support analytics and AI/ML data enablement
- Review data designs and mentor database developers
