Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain database structures, including tables, relationships, and data models.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, scripts, stored procedures, and views to ensure database performance and efficiency.
- Support data aggregation processes for MFRS 17 and ITSR, ensuring alignment across systems.
- Develop and enhance reporting solutions using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
- Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes by extracting data from multiple sources, transforming it into the required format, and loading it into databases or data warehouses.
- Assist in data mapping and ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
- Design and set up new databases to support reporting and business requirements.
- Develop scripts for report generation and file processing to support ITSR and MFRS 17 reporting needs.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting of SQL code, stored procedures, and database-related issues using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Conduct end-to-end testing for databases, scripts, and reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with architecture, project, and business teams on technical design, documentation, and implementation.
- Support data replication processes (e.g. PMACS to EDS) to meet MFRS 17 requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in database development or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language), including querying, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SSMS, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Experience in database design and data modeling, including defining tables, relationships, and data structures.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and experience handling data from multiple sources.
- Experience in debugging and optimizing stored procedures, queries, and database performance issues.
- Familiarity with data replication and data integration processes.
- Experience supporting financial or insurance systems (e.g. MFRS 17, ITSR) is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
