Summary
Designs and maintains the SCADA database architecture (TimeScaleDB, retention/aggregation, backups, migrations) and the surrounding DevOps stack — Podman container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring — for meteocontrol's systems, collaborating with backend, systems, and test engineers in Cluj-Napoca.
- Design and maintain the SCADA database architecture
- Develop retention, aggregation and storage concepts
- Optimize database performance and resource utilization
- Develop database migration and recovery mechanisms
- Define and maintain container orchestration for the SCADA system
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Automate builds, testing, packaging and deployments
- Provide monitoring and observability solutions
- Collaborate closely with Backend, Systems and Test engineers
- 3+ years as DevOps/Database engineer
- TimeScaleDB or comparable time-series database
- Database lifecycle management and performance optimizations
- Podman and container orchestration
- Backup and recovery concepts
- CI/CD and build automation
- Experience in agile software development
- Good communication skills
- Hands-on in industrial cybersecurity
