Database DevOps Engineer
Summary
Support Citi's Finance Application platform in Belfast, keeping hybrid on-prem/cloud database environments healthy while migrating Oracle, MongoDB and Big Data systems to AWS, GDP and Snowflake. Day to day: build AI-enabled monitoring and self-healing automation, automate DBA tasks with Terraform/Ansible, and tune OpenShift-hosted workloads.
In this role, you will support Citi’s Finance Application platform within the Application Infrastructure DevOps team. You will ensure the health and modernization of hybrid on-prem and cloud database environments, guiding migrations to AWS, GDP, and Snowflake. You will develop AI-enabled automation to monitor, tune, and self-heal database operations. You’ll work with OpenShift-powered workloads to improve resilience and performance in a high-stakes financial setting. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape enterprise-grade data platforms and security posture.

- Manage and migrate Oracle (Oraas), MongoDB, and Big Data systems to cloud platforms (AWS, GDP, Snowflake).
- Develop and implement AI/Agentic AI solutions for intelligent monitoring, automated performance tuning, and self-healing.
- Oversee high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization across all database environments.
- Automate database administration, security compliance, and management tasks using scripting and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
