Delivery Centric is seeking a Senior PostgreSQL DBA to lead enterprise database engineering, modernisation, automation, and operational improvements, while uplifting the capability of a 20–25 member DBA team.
Key Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in database administration/engineering with 5+ years of advanced PostgreSQL experience.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL architecture, performance tuning, replication, HA/DR, backup & recovery, security, partitioning, and indexing.
- Strong SQL, Linux, and shell scripting skills.
- Experience with Python/PowerShell, database automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with enterprise database migrations, upgrades, consolidation, and modernisation.

Key Deliverables
- Design and implement scalable PostgreSQL architectures and modernisation solutions.
- Lead database upgrades, migrations, HA/DR, replication, backup, and recovery initiatives.
- Automate provisioning, patching, upgrades, monitoring, and routine DBA activities.
- Establish database standards, governance, runbooks, and operational best practices.
- Support critical incidents and provide RCA for major issues.
- Lead PostgreSQL capability uplift through training, workshops, mentoring, and best-practice guides for 20–25 DBAs.
- Provide technical leadership, stakeholder reporting, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
