The successful candidate will combine strong architectural skills with practical engineering experience, working across Lakehouse platforms, real-time data and MLOps. Key Responsibilities: Design scalable and secure Azure Databricks Lakehouse architectures. Develop prototypes and proofs of concept using PySpark, Python and SQL. Design batch and streaming pipelines with Delta Lake, Structured Streaming, Kafka and/or Azure Event Hubs. Define data governance, security and lineage using Unity Catalog. Design MLOps processes using MLflow, model lifecycle management and model serving. Establish CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and/or Terraform. Produce architecture documentation and lead technical workshops and reviews. Support the transition from prototype to production-ready solution. Required Experience: Strong professional experience with Azure Databricks and Azure data platforms. Proven hands-on experience with PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake and Structured Streaming. Experience designing and implementing MLOps solutions, preferably with MLflow and Azure Machine Learning. Good understanding of Unity Catalog, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Microsoft Entra ID and Key Vault. Experience with cloud security, governance, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to international stakeholders. Fluent written and spoken English at C1/C2 level. Desirable Qualifications Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Databricks Machine Learning certification. Terraform certification or equivalent practical experience. Experience in public-sector, regulated or international-organisation environments.
