DataHub Specialist (NeoXam)

Key Responsibilities
NeoXam DataHub Engineering
- Contribute to DataHub migration and rehosting initiatives, including lift‑and‑shift, cloud deployment, and workflow configuration.
- Model, analyse, and document data structures, metadata relationships, and lineage within DataHub.
- Configure and maintain DataHub workflows, connectors, and metadata assets.
- Develop and customise DataHub components using Java and Python.
- Operate and troubleshoot the DataHub platform on Linux servers, including logs, services, and deployment scripts.
Data Governance & Metadata Management
- Define, configure, and maintain governance artefacts such as:
- data domains
- data dictionaries
- business glossaries
- lineage mappings
- classification & stewardship models
- Work with data producers and consumers to establish and enforce data quality rules, metadata standards, and governance controls.
- Support impact assessments, remediation planning, and governance alignment throughout the DataHub lifecycle.
Collibra Responsibilities
- Maintain governed metadata within Collibra, ensuring alignment with DataHub technical metadata.
- Support lineage visualisation, stewardship models, issue workflows, and governance processes.
- Assist in integrating Collibra with technical metadata sources via APIs, scanners, loaders, or automated pipelines.
- Provide structured onboarding, training, and documentation for new team members and stakeholders.
Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Alignment
- Partner with Product, IT, Platform, and Governance teams to ensure consistent standards across systems.
- Support projects by assessing impacts, identifying risks, and ensuring governance compliance.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible governance artefacts.
Required Skills & Experience
- Practical hands-on experience with NeoXam DataHub (workflows, metadata, administration, connectors).
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data structures, and metadata‑driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Collibra (catalog, governance workflows, lineage, stewardship models).
- Proficiency in Java and Python for platform customisations and automation.
- Solid working knowledge of Linux environments (commands, logs, service management).
- Experience with REST APIs (DataHub, Collibra, integration endpoints).
- Strong command of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks (policies, controls, roles, stewardship, issue workflows).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, with ability to convey complex concepts simply.
- Experience with Git, versioning, and deployment processes.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in fund data, asset management, or the broader financial services sector.
- Exposure to enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines, Azure storage, Azure DevOps, or orchestration tools.
- Experience with metadata scanning tools or MDM initiatives.

Knowledge of Collibra workflow development.
- Understanding of data security, classification, and access control models.
- Familiarity with Lineage standards (OpenLineage, Purview, Informatica, etc.).
