Day Guard/Caretaker

About the role

We are looking for dependable Day Guard/Caretaker to keep the premises safe, welcoming and running smoothly.

What you'll do

· Control pedestrian and vehicle access, verify visitors, and keep accurate visitor, vehicle and key registers

· Patrol the premises, watch for hazards and suspicious activity, and respond to and report incidents

· Take the handover from the night guard each morning and hand over formally

· Open up and lock down the premises, and receive, record and store deliveries

· Look after the gardens, lawns, hedges, driveways and outdoor areas

· Carry out minor repairs such as light bulbs, taps, door closers and touch-ups, and escalate anything bigger

· Set up and reset meeting and conference rooms for events

· Support the kitchen at lunch and catered meetings

· Keep logs and reports accurate, and follow health, safety, confidentiality and data protection rules in a clinical research setting

Qualifications

. At least five O-Level passes, including English Language

· At least two years' experience in security, caretaking, facilities or grounds maintenance
