Day Porter

Position Overview- A day porter is responsible for supporting the operations department with janitorial functions. To ensure the successful and timely completion of cleaning buildings; and to maintain an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate cleanliness with a focus on detail.

General Responsibilities

Day Porter Job Description (clinical setting):

• Empty all wastebaskets, replace plastic liners as required
• Empty all recycling containers
• Vacuum all carpet
• Spot clean minor carpet stains
• Clean and stock all restrooms
• Mop all floors
• Spot clean all glass doors and glass partitions to remove fingerprints
• Clean all sinks and counters in kitchen and break areas
• Stock all dispensers in kitchen and break areas
• Organize and arrange all entrance matting as needed
• Disinfecting common areas/ touch points
• Dusting horizontal surfaces

And other cleaning as needed
