DB2 Database Administrator

Position : DB2 Database Administrator.

Location : Bangalore / Gurgaon.

Experience : 5+ Years.

Employment Type : Full-Time.

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced DB2 DBA with strong expertise in DB2 (UDB) and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Cloud environments. The ideal candidate should have experience supporting enterprise databases and working with AWS or GCP cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, administer, and maintain DB2 UDB databases.

- Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.

- Manage database availability, security, access, and capacity.

- Support PostgreSQL database environments and related administration activities.

- Work with AWS and/or GCP cloud-based database environments.

- Perform database migration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.

- Troubleshoot database performance and production issues.

- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to ensure database reliability and availability.

- Implement database best practices for security, performance, backup, and disaster recovery.

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with DB2 UDB / DB2 Database Administration.

- Good experience with PostgreSQL administration.

- Knowledge of Cloud technologies, preferably AWS or GCP.

- Experience in database backup, recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

- Good understanding of database security and high-availability concepts.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
