Summary
A mainframe systems programmer role focused on installing, customizing, and maintaining Db2 for z/OS in an MVS/z/OS environment — working with SMP/E, JCL, RACF/ACF2 security, disaster recovery, and IBM/Broadcom/CA tooling. Remote position based in Warsaw, Poland.
- Hands-on experience in installation, customization, and maintenance of Db2 for z/OS and SMP/E within an MVS/z/OS environment.
- Deep understanding of relational database concepts, IBM utilities, JCL, access methods, file structures, and Db2 monitoring tools.
- Practical experience implementing RACF or ACF2 Db2 security authorization models and executing Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols.
- High proficiency with ecosystem tools and ISV software from IBM, Broadcom, and Computer Associates (CA).
- Experience participating in large-scale complex projects to design and implement mainframe database solutions.
- Excellent root-cause analysis skills paired with strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise commercial environments is highly preferred.
