DC - Lead Behavior- Records Specialist
Position Summary
The primary roles of the Lead Behavioral & Records Specialist are to: 1) Lead implementation of the school's behavior management framework; 2) Oversee student records compliance and regulatory requirements; 3) Coordinate IEP meetings, Special Education documentation, and OSSE transportation; 4) Lead ESY planning and behavioral operations; 5) Supervise behavioral supports, records processes, and compliance systems; and 6) Serve as a resource to students, families, staff, and school leadership.
Qualifications
The successful candidate demonstrates leadership, organizational excellence, behavioral expertise, knowledge of IDEA, FERPA and OSSE requirements, and the ability to coach staff while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Academic Preparation and/or Experience
- Associates degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Social Work or related field.
- HS Diploma required (or relevant equivalent)
- Minimum five (5) years of school-based behavioral and/or special education experience.
- Experience coordinating IEP compliance, student records and behavioral programming.
- BCBA preferred or eligibility to obtain behavioral certification preferred.
Accountability
This position is accountable to the Principal.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides functional supervision, coaching and oversight to Therapeutic Behavior Aides, Resource Instructors, and assigned support staff in coordination with the Principal.
