DDM, Industrial Engineering Manager
NewBe an early applicant Position Summary: The Industrial Engineering (IE) Manager is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing operational efficiency in aquaculture feed production. This role focuses on process design, data analysis, capacity planning, and continuous improvement across the plant. Key Responsibilities: 1. Process Optimization Efficiency Improvement Analyze and improve production processes (grinding, batching, mixing, pelleting/extrusion, drying, coating, packaging). Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to maximize throughput and yield. Apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles. 2. Production Planning Capacity Analysis Conduct capacity studies and line balancing to optimize plant utilization. Support production planning by aligning resources (machines, manpower, materials). Develop standard cycle times and production benchmarks. 3. Cost Reduction Productivity Improvement Analyze production costs (labor, energy, raw material losses). Lead initiatives to reduce waste, rework, and energy consumption. Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). 4. Data Analysis Performance Monitoring Develop and maintain KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, downtime, and yield. Use data analytics tools to drive decision-making and identify improvement areas. Generate reports and dashboards for management. 5. Layout Design Facility Improvement Design and optimize plant layout, workflow, and material flow. Lead projects related to plant expansion, new lines, or process upgrades. Improve warehouse and internal logistics efficiency. 6. Standardization SOP Development Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Establish time and motion studies to standardize operations. Implement best practices across shifts and production lines. 7. Project Management Lead and manage engineering and improvement projects. Coordinate with maintenance, production, QA, and supply chain teams. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget. 8. Technology Automation Evaluate and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency. Work with equipment vendors and engineering teams for upgrades. Support digital transformation initiatives (MES, ERP, IoT). 9. Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, R D, and Supply Chain teams. Support new product introduction and process scaling. Align operational improvements with business objectives.
