Position Summary: The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shrimp feed manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production, consistent product quality, cost control, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. This role leads production teams, optimizes processes, and ensures timely delivery to meet customer demand. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Operations Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities for shrimp feed (pellet/crumb feed). Ensure production targets are met in terms of volume, quality, and timeline. Monitor production processes including grinding, mixing, pelleting, drying, and packaging. Optimize production efficiency, yield, and machine utilization. 2. Quality Control Assurance Ensure all products meet nutritional and physical quality specifications. Work closely with QA/QC team to maintain compliance with standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO). Address product deviations and implement corrective actions. 3. Team Leadership Supervise and develop production staff, including supervisors and operators. Provide training on SOPs, safety, and process improvements. Manage manpower planning, shift schedules, and productivity. 4. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and lower production costs. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma if applicable). Participate in new product trials and process optimization. 5. Maintenance Coordination Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability. Minimize downtime by preventive maintenance planning. Ensure machines (extruders, pellet mills, mixers) operate at optimal conditions. 6. Inventory Material Management Monitor raw materials usage (fish meal, soybean meal, additives, etc.). Ensure proper storage and handling to maintain quality. Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams. 7. Health, Safety Environment (HSE) Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with regulations. Maintain a safe working environment in production areas. Lead incident investigations and preventive actions. 8. Reporting Compliance Prepare production reports, KPIs, and performance analysis. Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
