ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a detail-oriented Deal Posting Accountant to post and reconcile vehicle sales and lease deals in our accounting system. You'll make sure every deal is accurate, funded, and properly recorded.


Key Responsibilities:
- Post new and used vehicle deals to the DMS (PBS, Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.)
- Verify deal jackets: buyer's orders, contracts, trade-in paperwork, title and registration documents, and lender stipulations
- Record sales, trade-ins, F&I products, fees, taxes, and cost of sale accurately
- Reconcile vehicle inventory, contracts in transit, and lender funding receivables
- Follow up on unfunded or "spot" deals and resolve discrepancies
- Process deal corrections, unwinds, and chargebacks
- Support month-end close, including schedules and reconciliations
- Work with sales, F&I, and title clerks to resolve paperwork issues


Qualifications:
- 1+ years in accounting, bookkeeping, or dealership office work (automotive experience strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of debits and credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation
- Familiarity with DMS software and strong Excel skills
- Understanding of deal structure: cash, finance, lease, trade equity, and rebates
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet daily and month-end deadlines
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Experience with sales tax, DMV, and lender funding processes
- Knowledge of dealership accounting standards and manufacturer financial statements
