Deal Strategist - Enterprise Supply Chain Transformation

About the Role
At Auger, our founders open doors at Fortune 500 companies. Your job is to figure out what's behind the door, find where the money is leaking, and build the case for long-lasting customer partnerships that unlock real, measurable value for the world’s largest supply chains. You'll report to our Head of Sales, partner with our Account Executives, and work shoulder to shoulder with our founders on every major deal.

It's part strategy consultant, part dealmaker, with one difference: you're not advising from the outside. You're building the company that grows by delivering value.

If you want to run a company someday, this is where you learn how one actually works.

What You'll Do
1. Know the customer better than anyone
  • Diligence Fortune 500 companies, top private enterprises and holding companies like you're about to invest in them: business model, supply chain footprint, systems, earnings calls, investor decks, org charts and strategic bets.
  • Find where a company's operations are falling short of its strategy, and quantify what that gap is costing them.
  • Stay current on each customer's competitors, pressures and industry news so every conversation starts from a real understanding of their business.

2. Build what goes into the boardroom
  • Understand the product offering cold and how each solution drives value for customers.
  • Own the decks, account briefs and executive materials our founders and account executives put in front of Fortune 500 leadership.
  • Tailor every story to the room: what the CFO, the COO and the VP of IT each need to hear to say yes.
  • Brief our founders before every big meeting: what's at stake, who's in the room, and where Auger wins.
  • Debrief after. Sharpen what landed, cut what didn't.

3. Write the value story
  • Quantify what each customer's operational challenges are costing them and build a rigorous, transparent economic case for how Auger can fix them.
  • Pull research, discovery notes and customer data into one clear picture: what's broken, what it costs, and what fixing it is worth.
  • Give executives an honest, data-backed view they can use to make the right call for their business, and stand behind those numbers after the deal is signed

4. Help the customer make a confident decision
  • Map the decision makers: who controls budget, who owns the tech, who's championing us and who's not.
  • Sequence conversations to drive our solutions motion with the AE so that by the time we're in front of executives, the meeting is about a decision, not an introduction.

What You Get Out of It
  • A front-row seat to company building. You'll see how founders think, how enterprise deals get structured, and how a company in build mode makes big calls under pressure. Most people wait 15 years for this view.
  • Real stakes, not shadow work. In PE or consulting, you advise. Here, your work shapes how Auger delivers measurable value to the worlds largest supply chains run better.
  • Your work in front of the C-suite. The decks you build go straight into Fortune 500 decision meetings with our founders.
  • AI-native from day one. Use the best AI tools in your own work and see firsthand how AI is rewiring the way global supply chains run.

Who You Are
  • Sharp with numbers. Quantitative background (math, finance, economics, engineering or similar). You can build a model or a bulletproof argument from incomplete data.
  • A storyteller with a point of view. Your decks help executives make better decisions, not just see more data.
  • Deal-tested. 1–2 years as a PE/VC analyst or associate, in banking or consulting, or anywhere you diligenced companies and wrote the recommendation. Enterprise software, supply chain, or operations experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • Driven by outcomes, not just closes. You care whether the customer actually gets the value we promised, long after the contract is signed.
  • Hungry to learn the whole business. You want to understand how sales, product, operations and strategy fit together, because you plan to run something one day.
  • Into AI. You use the tools daily and have opinions about where it's all heading.
  • Happier in the room than behind the model. Spreadsheets are a tool. Meaningful customer outcomes is the job.
  • We hire for trajectory, not just credentials. If you don't check every box but know you belong here, apply anyway.

This Isn't for You If
  • You gather information but can't land on a point of view.
  • Your slides summarize instead of persuade (or you don't like making slides)
  • You'd rather hide behind the model than talk to customers.
  • You need instant wins. Enterprise deals take months, and the payoff is worth it.
