Dealer Trade Driver

Position Summary

Vacaville Mitsubishi is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Driver to support dealership operations. The Driver is responsible for safely transporting dealership vehicles, parts, documents, and other authorized items between approved locations while representing Vacaville Mitsubishi professionally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate dealership vehicles for authorized business purposes.
• Pick up and deliver vehicles between dealership locations and other authorized destinations.
• Transport parts, documents, or dealership materials as assigned.
• Inspect vehicles for visible damage or concerns before and after transportation and promptly report issues.
• Maintain custody of keys, vehicles, and dealership property according to established procedures.
• Follow applicable traffic laws and dealership driving and safety policies.
• Maintain required delivery, mileage, or transportation records.
• Promptly communicate delays, accidents, vehicle concerns, or other issues to management.
• Maintain professional conduct when interacting with customers, vendors, and dealership personnel.
• Assist with other dealership transportation or operational duties as assigned.

• Ability to safely operate the types of motor vehicles used in the position.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safe-driving practices.
• Dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow transportation instructions and established procedures.
• Ability to communicate professionally with dealership personnel, customers, and vendors.

Driving Requirements:
Driving is an essential function of this position. Applicants must possess the legally required driving credentials appropriate for the vehicles operated and remain qualified to perform the position's driving duties throughout employment.

Specific driver's-license classification and driving-record requirements will be based on the vehicles operated, assigned duties, insurance requirements, and applicable law.

Physical and Work Environment:
This position involves frequent driving and entering and exiting vehicles. Depending on assigned duties, the employee may also stand, walk, bend, reach, and handle dealership materials.

Work may involve traffic, varying weather conditions, outdoor environments, and dealership vehicle lots.
