Location: Kohler, WI*This internship is summer only. Candidate must be available May-September.OpportunityThe Events Design & Decor team intern position will be designed to help support our current Design & Décor team with corporate events, select weddings, social events, and social day meetings held within Kohler, WI. The intern will have the opportunity to see all aspects of Event Operations including learning and assisting the Décor & Design team with event design and setup, floral, and banquet service execution. They will have potential exposure to participating in projects as needed.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESHelp serve as on-site set-up for events across the Kohler WI campus. This includes weddings, social events, social day meetings and designated corporate events. There is a heavy weekend component with wedding and social events for on-site coverage. Assist in set-up and strike of event décor as needed based on weekly event scheduleAttend weekly production meetings with Décor & Design TeamAssist warehouse coordinator as needed with warehouse operation duties specific to events such as inventory management and pulling event items needed for the week’s event.Assist floral team as needed with various floral needs including installations, standard cleaning and delivery needed for large events.Shadow Wedding Event Managers on event tastings & site visits.Shadow Banquets to learn about banquet event execution.Working with our Design lead, learn how to partner with clients to bring their vision to life while driving incremental spend for the resort.Assist them with creation of documents to enhance events with upgraded linens, event space upgrades, custom branding opportunities, etc.Create event design elements and coordinate the organization of gathering needed items from warehouse and other storage locations.Assist with event setup needs. Attend weekly Banquet & Event Order (BEO) and Resume meetings as needed for events enhancements have been added to.Learn how to develop detailed estimates for Client and internal accounting team.Communicate up to the minute client revisions throughout the resort to promote the guest experience.Create and execute special projects and assignments.This is a seasonal position working weekends and weekdays with shifts varying between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.
