Decorative and Renovation Engineer
1. Responsible for the site supervision and management of all interior and exterior architectural finishing works for the Arena Project, including wall finishes, floor finishes, ceilings, handrails, spectator seating areas, public areas, back-of-house (BOH) areas, and associated ancillary rooms. 2. Review and understand architectural and finishing drawings, specifications, technical requirements, and material schedules. Organize and participate in design and drawing review meetings, identify design discrepancies, and coordinate with the design, technical, and construction teams to resolve technical issues during execution. 3. Prepare and monitor finishing work schedules, coordinate resources, track site progress, and control construction quality to ensure compliance with the overall project programme. 4. Coordinate finishing works with other disciplines, including civil and structural works, structural steel, façade works, MEP services, ELV systems, fire protection systems, lighting installations, floor tiling, GRC elements, doors and windows, and other interfacing trades. 5. Conduct site quality inspections, follow up on NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), SORs, site observations, and comments raised by the Consultant and Client, ensuring timely rectification and compliance with project specifications and acceptance criteria. 6. Support the preparation, submission, and implementation of finishing-related documents, including material submittals, technical data sheets, Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), and other quality documentation. 7. Monitor material delivery, sample approvals, mock-up and VMU (Visual Mock-Up Unit) construction and inspections, ensuring that materials, colours, textures, dimensions, and workmanship comply with the approved requirements of the Client and Consultant. 8. Liaise and coordinate with the Client, PMC, Consultant, Design Team, and Subcontractors to facilitate the timely resolution and close-out of all finishing-related issues on site.
1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Interior Finishing, Construction Management, or a related discipline. 2. Minimum 5 years of experience in the supervision and management of architectural finishing works. Experience in large-scale public buildings, stadiums, arenas, commercial developments, hotels, airports, or cultural and entertainment projects will be an advantage. 3. Strong knowledge of architectural finishing construction methods and materials, including floor tiling, stone cladding, suspended ceilings, painting systems, wall finishes, GRC works, handrails, doors and windows, metal finishes, washrooms, and high-end fit-out works for public areas. 4. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, material submittals, shop drawings, and Consultant comments in English. 5. Strong site coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage interfaces and resolve conflicts between architectural finishes, structural works, MEP services, façade systems, and structural steel works. 6. Experience in Middle East or overseas construction projects is preferred. Familiarity with project management and quality control procedures, including Aconex, WIRs, MIRs, NCRs, SORs, Method Statements, and ITPs, will be an advantage. 7. Good communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with the Client, PMC, Consultant, subcontractors, and project stakeholders on technical and site-related matters. 8. Self-motivated, responsible, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment involving multiple trades and disciplines.
